Assumption Cathedral

Located in the very center of the city of Varna, today the "Holy Assumption" Cathedral is one of the most famous buildings in the city. A prayer temple for the people of Varna, and at the same time a landmark in the itineraries of tourists, the cathedral has become one of the symbols of Varna.

The history of this remarkable church lies in the first years after the Liberation. The honor of laying the foundation stone of the future church was given to Prince Alexander I Battenberg, who arrived in Varna on August 4.
